Membership / Dues
Membership Information:
The annual dues are $125.00 per household.
Residents living on the water and those who live in the surrounding area are welcome to join. Becoming a member of the Lake Hiawatha Association allows you to use the beach located on Lakeshore Drive as well as the boat launch on Marcel Lane.
The Association maintains the beach area making sure it is cleaned of debris in the spring. We do our best to maintain the area throughout the season. We ask that you help keep the area clean and adhere to the rules that are posted. There is NO FISHING from the beach at any time. You are allowed to launch a float or kayak from the beach area. Lake Wardens do check the beach on a regular basis and you will be asked to leave if you are not a current member. We encourage you to be present if you have company and want to use the beach area.
Boating and Fishing is allowed at the end of Marcel Lane. This is a CATCH AND RELEASE ONLY lake. Please adhere to this rule at all times.
Since we are a private lake, The LHA pays for the deweeding of our lake each summer. This is our biggest expense. We usually have two treatments per season and we do inform residents of the exact dates.
Lake Hiawatha is home to much wildlife. Please do not disturb their habitats especially in early spring when the baby ducks, geese and swanlets are born.

2025 Annual Dues
It’s Spring Again!!!!!
Dear Lake Resident:
Hope this notice finds everyone well and looking forward to the nice weather and fun in the sun!
As you know, annual dues go towards maintenance of the lake, beach and boat ramp. At the end of last season, the beach area was restored, drainage corrected, a new lawn installed with new picnic tables which cost $7,000.00.
The LHA voted to increase dues to $125.00 at the 10/28/24 meeting to cover increasing costs. However, in consideration of this year’s economy, the LHA will accept annual yearly dues of $100.00 if members cannot pay the new $125.00. The revenue from the dues pays for the required permitting, real estate taxes, water testing and other amenities such as portable restroom facilities.
In 2026, dues will be $125.00. Still reasonable to maintain the beauty of the lake, so members can enjoy swimming, the beach area, catch-&-release fishing, boating, skating and kayaking.
Please fill out the form below and mail or scan the Zelle QR code (if using Zelle, form can be emailed to lakehiawatha@gmail.com) with your $125.00 dollar payment today!!!!
